StrongSRQ’s Driveway Giveaway: No Catch, Just Us Giving Back

Last year, we started something simple for Veterans Day by offering a free driveway cleaning as a small way to give back to a local veteran. We’ll be bringing that back again this coming Veterans Day, but this September we wanted to do something similar for the wider Sarasota community.

And there really is no catch.

No purchase is required. You do not have to book another service. There is no obligation afterward. We’ll randomly select five eligible homeowners after entries close on September 22, and each winner will receive a standard driveway cleaning of up to 1,000 square feet.

This is simply our way of giving something back to the local community we work in every day.

We spend a lot of time in Sarasota neighborhoods meeting homeowners, working on properties, and seeing how much a good exterior cleaning can change the overall look of a home. Driveways are one of those areas that slowly build up dirt, organic growth, and staining over time, and sometimes you don’t realize how much they have changed until they are cleaned.

For us, the reward is getting to create a few successful transformation stories, meet some new people, and hopefully leave a good impression that leads to word of mouth over time.

That’s really it.

We’re not pretending there is nothing in it for us. We are a local business, and naturally we hope that if people like the work we do, they remember us, tell a neighbor, or call us down the road. But nobody has to buy anything to win, and nobody owes us anything afterward.

We just want to clean five driveways, make five properties look a little better, and hopefully have some great before-and-after results to show for it.

Who Can Enter?

The September Driveway Giveaway is open to eligible Sarasota-area homeowners age 18 and older.

Each winner will receive a standard residential driveway cleaning of up to 1,000 square feet, with a retail value of up to $250.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

Entries are open through September 22, 2026, and winners will be selected at random after the entry period closes.

Looking Ahead to Veterans Day

The September giveaway is separate from something that means even more to us personally.

This Veterans Day, we plan to bring back our free driveway-cleaning event specifically for local veterans.

Military service has always been close to our family. We have deep local family ties to former service members as well as veterans and active-duty military, so this is not something we look at as just another seasonal promotion. We have a lot of respect for the sacrifices made by the men and women who served, and for the families who supported them along the way.

Our goal for the Veterans Day event is to focus especially on retired veterans, disabled veterans, and older former service members who may benefit most from having this kind of work taken care of for them.

We also want the Veterans Day version to be broader than the September giveaway.

Rather than limiting it to a standard driveway size, our intention is to help where we reasonably can. That may include larger driveways, more difficult properties, or situations where a veteran could genuinely use the help. We also plan to consider a wider service area than the September giveaway so we can reach more veterans throughout the Sarasota region.

We would like to grow this into something larger over time, and that will take help from people and organizations already connected to the veteran community.

We’re especially interested in coordinating with local veterans organizations, veteran service groups, community advocates, and anyone who regularly works with retired, disabled, or senior veterans.

If you know a local veteran you believe should be considered for the Veterans Day event, or if you work with an organization that may be able to help us identify veterans who could benefit, we would genuinely like to hear from you.

We’re already beginning to plan the event now so we have enough time to organize it properly and hopefully help more veterans than we were able to last year.

Why We’re Doing This

At the end of the day, both giveaways come from the same idea.

We’re a small local business. Sarasota is where we work, where our customers live, and where people have supported us through referrals, recommendations, repeat business, and word of mouth.

Doing a few jobs at no charge is one small way for us to return some of that support.

If we get a few great transformation stories out of it, meet some good people, and earn a little word of mouth along the way, we’ll consider that a success.

And if we can continue growing the Veterans Day event into something that helps more local veterans every year, even better.
