Crotons

Crotons are celebrated for their brilliantly colored leaves, which feature striking patterns of red, yellow, orange, green, pink, and purple. The intensity of the color depends on the light received, with more sunlight leading to more intense color.  These colorful, perennial shrubs seen in many Florida yards are native to tropical regions of India and Malaysia.
